Cosplaying as Lara Croft: Pt 2

Quiver:
I didn't want to buy a quiver because Lara's looks like a makeshift one, so I gave myself the unpleasant task of trying to make one myself sans a sewing machine. I attempted to follow a tutorial I saw on Lara Croft Cosplay, and set out to purchase some canvas material for the outside of the quiver, and some sort of quilted lining for the inside and to give it some shape. Since I don't have a sewing machine it took me quite a while to sew this baby together. Time must equal quality however, because it looks awe-some! The only thing it's missing now is a slight paint job to make it look used and dirty!
Now, here is a question for all of you, I do wonder where exactly Lara puts her shotgun when she also has the bow and the quiver on her back... I didn't really think about this too much until I had all of these and now am unsure on where I can put the shotgun, unless I stick it in the quiver. Thoughts, friends?

Lara Croft Cosplay Prop - Unboxing Video & Pics
An unboxing of my new Airsplat AGM Airsoft M500 Spring Shotgun for my Lara Croft Cosplay.
Post-video I've removed the chrome covering the shotgun to match Lara's combat shotgun. Are you excited yet? I'd say I'm about 80% complete on my Lara costume! In fact, here's a little teaser of some of my costume in action, with and without the shotgun!

Cosplaying as Lara Croft (In Progress!)
Tomb Raider is my all time favorite game series; I've followed Lara around the world since her big debut in the 90's. Combining my love for Lara and cosplay, I've dressed up as several different incarnations of her in the games and movies. The Reboot of the series has made it to one of my favorite games of all time, and I haven't even finished it yet..Not sure how that works, except to say that it is a truly awesome game and Crystal Dynamics knows what they're doing.
I've always put more time into my Tomb Raider cosplays than any others because I feel a kickass character should be portrayed just as awesome.
Below you can follow my continuing journey to cosplay the best TR Reboot cosplay there ever was!

Flash Ignite League of Legends 24 Hour Charity Event
If you haven't seen my previous posts about Operation Supply Drop, what you need to know is that it is a military charity where 100% of donations go to sending care packages filled with video gamey goodness to American troops deployed overseas in high threat areas.
This coming weekend, February 22-23, Charisma +2 gals (yours truly included) are hosting the whole event online via live stream on the C+2 Twitch.tv channel. Like all OSD Charity events you can get your hands on raffle tickets for $3 each, and that puts your name in the hat for a chance to win $150 in Riot points, among other prizes. Even if you can't spare the cash there will be several viewer giveaways, so be sure to stop by and show your support!

A Brief Look at AGL Chicago
Arena Gaming League, or AGL for short, hosted a competitive 3 day Halo 4 tournament on January 25-27 in the Chicagoland area. To say I had a couple of friends who paid a lot of money to attend and compete would be a huge understatement. A majority of my friends from the MLG gaming community (and myself) were there in attendance hoping for a successful Halo 4 tournament, especially after H4's rejection from the MLG circuit.
Disorganized would be the first word that came to mind upon my arrival to AGL. The second being, people actually paid to be here? I actually paid to be here?! My friends and I pulled off more organized LANs while we were in college. My intention is not to be harsh but to be truthful. AGL was a failure, it was disorganized and unprofessional, rules were changed mid tournament and so were schedules to 'accommodate' some "pro" players who were too busy sightseeing to bother to play in the event they were there for. AGL has a lot of work ahead of them if they want to try their hand at hosting a successful gaming event in the future. I hope they can use this event as experience of what not to do and move on and improve from there.
Edit: If you're curious for a much more detail rich point of view, check out my friend Sarah's (Vball) Tumblr post regarding the event. You will be underwhelmed, much as I was with this 'tournament'.
